Investors benefit from a “debt-led approach to private equity investing”, by participating in transactions which comprise primarily secured debt instruments, but due to the favorable negotiating position of being a key funder, also participate in a businesses’ inherent upside potential through an element of equity co-investment (preferred equity, warrants, co-investment or a combination thereof).
